Trade for trade — web design in exchange for brand photography
The Brief
Carly is a Minneapolis-based photographer and video producer with years of editorial, commercial, and event work under her belt — and a site that didn't come close to showing it. The existing site lacked clear storytelling, and didn't reflect her personality: approachable, unpretentious, the kind of person you want capturing your event.
The goal was a full restructure — cleaner navigation, a stronger visual hierarchy, and an editorial aesthetic that matched the quality of her work.
The challenge: doing it all in Squarespace 7.1, which resists custom interactions, while keeping her ability to manage the site herself after handoff.
